Life at Industria

The people at Industria, Industrians as we like to call ourselves, are a team of people located in Reykjavik, Dublin, London, Sofia. Shenzhen and Stockholm. We are a tight knit group working towards the same mission everyday. Our mission is to make the TV viewing experience better for people (eða to make people's life easier through digital living). We do this through innovative, cutting edge technological development based on simplicity and speed, as well as by maintaining a strong customer service orientation and focusing attention on developing consumer demands.

Office environment and culture

We enjoy working in the challenging and exciting area of digital living. We work hard and know that we deserve to work in an environment that is supportive and inspiring. We understand that a great work environment contributes to productivity. We firmly believe that work should be enjoyable and add to a person's sense of self worth. That is why here at Industria we stress the following elements:

Comfortable work space with all the tools for getting the job done
Open, airy spaces
Availability of various diversions to help with unwinding and regrouping
Sustenance. We need the right fuel to do our jobs well, so good food and snacks are a must!
Friendly, flexible and informal atmosphere
Collaboration and cooperation

Further, we at Industria do our best to minimize waste. This means, for example, that we strive to be a paperless organization. We also stress agility and lean manufacturing.

We who make up the team at Industria come from many different nationalities and cultures. We like to take a geocentric approach to management and corporate culture, taking the best from each place to make our own unique blend.

Staff events

We often get together informally to enjoy a game, watch a movie or have a barbeque. Each office has it's own special hobbies, for example music in Reykjavik, theatre in London, football in Dublin, gastronomy in Stockholm, poker in Sophia and video games in Schenzhen. In addition, we have more formal staff events to give special thanks and acknowledgement for all the hard work being done by team members. Christmas Dinner - December 2007

Every year Industrians enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner. Last year we enjoyed an aperitif at the CEO's home before heading out to a restaurant for dinner and a show.

Autumn Excursion - September 2007

Team-building exercises were the order of the day during our Autumn excursion. We spent the day in the countryside playing games and working up an appetite for the hearty dinner that awaited us in a rustic old barn.

Annual Celebration - March 2007

Industrians and spouses spent the night at a charming country inn. We got all dressed up for the evening festivities, which included parlour games, a gourmet dinner and dancing the night away.
